Comic Inking and Coloring

The Comic Vine is a great place to find professional images of fabulous comic book covers.
COMIC VINE

Below are some of the images that inspired the Digital Ink and Paint Students to create their own covers. They learn how to apply line weight, color, and composition from the masters of the comic book art world  industry to create dynamic and visually interesting pieces.

IDEAS BEGIN WITH INSPIRATION

William Blake

Art From Golden Axe Beast Rider

Fredrick Church

The artists that did the concept art for GOLDEN AXE BEAST RIDER were inspired and influenced by classical artists and film. For example the19th century Hudson River School and artists such as Thomas Cole or Bierstadt, or Fredrick Church. They also used influences from films such as Gladiator and Braveheart. Then where did the inspiration for the art of those films derive?
